The 4 Horches went to the mall today to take in the Christmas shopping season, and the boys got to have lots of fun!

Last month the Horch family took a trip to Iowa (where we’ll be moving in just a few weeks!), and our boys proved to be great travelers. They had to be very flexible, riding in strange cars, taking shuttles, sleeping in a hotel, and riding on a total of 4 airplanes. AND they had to really prove their stamina when we had a 5-hour delay at the Memphis airport…… Here are a couple pics: one of me carrying Will in his Baby Bjorn, which was a lifesaver for walking through the airport to get to our connections, and one of Jeff and Jack on the plane.

Grandpa Horch and Karole came for a visit last week, and Jack (and all of us!) had a wonderful time with them. As an early Christmas present, they got Jack a Little People Garage. Jack loved helping Grandpa make sure all the screws were tight…….

When Jack was a baby, I made little “books” for him out of paper plates and he really “read” them a lot, so I’ve done the same thing for Will. Here’s Will reading one of his books in the pack n play yesterday. I think he really liked it, especially the surprise ending.

Yesterday Jeff was doing some yard work and Jack was eager to help. Jack especially loved getting to use the big shovel!

It’s been cold in Nashville lately so I haven’t been able to take my daily walks with Jack and Will. I was definitely suffering from a case of cabin fever today, so even though it was still pretty brisk out there, I bundled the boys up and loaded them into the double stroller for a walk in the fall sunshine. Thankfully they were really good sports about it! (Check out Will’s new winter car-seat cover. )
