Much to be thankful for

This past year we have had much to be thankful for with the birth of our son headlining that list. On this Thanksgiving morning, I caught this great picture of Jack grabbing Anne’s heart necklace as mother and son share a sweet moment.

Wiped Out!!

Yesterday Jack got very little sleep and by the time the evening rolled around he was too tired to actually go to sleep. When we put him down he would just cry. Finally as this picture shows he found the perfect spot to completely give in. And give in he did. He sleep until 7:45 am which is about an hour and fifteen minutes longer than he normally sleeps.

Friday with Henry

Jack’s buddy Henry came over today and hung out for a little bit. These little boys are growing up.

Learning to Lead

I recently caught Jack doing a little reading on leadership. His current book selection “Learning to Lead” was a good one since it was written by Jack’s great-grandfather, Fred Smith.

New stage of sitting up

Jack has officially moved into the new life stage of sitting up. He still has the occasional losing balance and falling sideways or backwards but most of the time he stays upward. This picture makes him looks so grown-up. It is hard to believe he is only 6-months.

24-hours in Germantown

Needing some “Jack time”, my mom initiated a quick 24-hour get together outside of Memphis. We met at a Fairfield Inn inn Germantown on Friday afternoon. Jack stayed with my mom which was his first official sleep over. She got to experience one of my favorite moments which is seeing Jack first thing in the morning. He is normally in a very happy and playful mood.  Another treat on the trip was we took Jack swimming for his second time in the indoor pool. He seemed to really get into this time as he laughed and splashed around.

Here is another great shot of Jack enjoying time with his Gram.
